How to Use It on the Same Network

You and your students must be in the same building using the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet:

1. The Sender's Steps

  1. Open the main page (www.crochetmethat.com) and click the Send button in the top left.
  2. Select the file you want to share.
  3. Give it a password for your Receivers.
  4. Once the upload is complete, test it.

2. The Receiver's Steps

  1. On a different device (phone, tablet, or another PC), navigate to the same website (www.crochetmethat.com).
  2. Click the Receive button in the top right.
  3. Enter the Password.
  4. Click the link to download the file directly to the second device.

Why Use It This Way?

Privacy: Files stay on the hosting server for only 4 hours and then are wiped clean.

Convenience: You don't need to email yourself a file or find a USB drive; as long as the device can reach crochetmethat.com, it can grab the file.

Cross-Platform: It works regardless of whether one person is on an iPhone and the other is on a Windows PC.

Note: Since this is a public-facing website, ensure you don't leave sensitive files in the transfer folder for long periods, as anyone with the link could technically click "Receive" and see them!
